Cellulose 1,4-beta-cellobiosidase (non-reducing end) is an enzyme with system name 4-beta-D-glucan cellobiohydrolase (non-reducing end). This enzyme catalyses the following chemical reaction:Hydrolysis of (1->4)-beta-D-glucosidic linkages in cellulose and cellotetraose, releasing [cellobiose] from the non-reducing ends of the chains.

Product Overview
Cellubiohydrolase I is an enzyme present in many fungi, but particularly wood rot fungi. It is a monomer of 53 kDa with a catalytic domain and a cellulose binding domain. The reaction adds water to the glucose bonds in cellulose (non-reducing ends of the chain), yielding cellobiose.
