Applications
Experiments have shown that oral administration of Lactobacillus fermentum can enhance the immune response against influenza vaccine and reduce the incidence of influenza and fever. For example, Lactococcus lactis JCM5805 activates anti-viral immunity and reduces symptoms of common cold and influenza in healthy adults in a randomized controlled trial.
