Nanozymes for Treatment of Refractory Organic Wastewater

Organic wastewater comes from a wide range of sources, including pharmaceutical factories, pesticides, medical wastewater, and breeding and animal husbandry. In recent years, researchers have detected large amounts of toxic substances from surface and groundwater. These compounds have complex compositions and are highly bio-toxic. Although there are various traditional treatments, their effects are unsatisfactory. Many researchers have found that enzymes can remove organic pollutants from water, such as pesticides, antibiotics and drugs.

Nanozymes are not only low-cost and eco-friendly materials, but also have a high rate of reuse, which will be a key research direction for improving sewage treatment methods. Creative Enzymes provides a variety of nanozymes for the treatment of refractory organic wastewater, helping our customers worldwide in the nanozymes field.

Treatment of Antibiotics Wastewater with Nanozymes

  • Even if the concentration of antibiotics in water is very low, long-term drinking will lead to enhanced tolerance of the body. As a result, it can reduce the therapeutic effect of antibiotics and even produce adverse consequences such as teratogenicity, chronic toxicity and endocrine gland dysfunction.
  • Creative Enzymes prepares Fe / C nanozyme complexes with good catalytic performance. The electro-Fenton system can be constructed without additional Fe2+ and H2O2, and the reaction can degrade ciprofloxacin hydrochloride without additional Fe2+ and H2O2.

Treatment of Drug Wastewater with Nanozymes

  • We synthesize the photocatalyst C3N4 / TiO2 by low temperature calcination and use it for the photodegradation of pyridine. The catalysts have good catalytic properties and cycle stability. In addition, it is found that ·O2- and ·OH are the main active substances. Moreover, in the field of nitrogen heterocyclic organic compounds, such catalysts have excellent degradation properties.

  • Meanwhile, Cu nanozymes also show good stability of temperature and pH, maintaining high activity over a wide range of pH and temperature. At the same time, it also has good reusability and storage stability.

Treatment Pesticides Wastewater with Nanozymes

  • TiO2 has shown the most outstanding performance due to its low cost, stable nature, and environmental friendliness. However, the low optical quantum efficiency of TiO2 limits its development. With its high conductivity and large specific surface area, graphene can be used as an electron donor dopant. Therefore, nitrogen-doped graphene (NG) can provide a carrier for TiO2 photogenerated electrons and improve the photocatalytic activity.
  • Based on this, we prepare NG / TiO2 nanozyme photocatalyst by hydrothermal method. Within a certain pH range, PV systems have a high degradation efficiency for wastewater solutions.

Creative Enzymes provides customized nanozymes and solutions for the treatment of refractory organic wastewater.
