Product Overview
The source describes this product as easy to absorb orally, with blood concentration reaching a peak at 0.5-1 h. Approximately 95% is inactivated by conjugation with glucuronic acid or sulfuric acid, and about 5% is converted by hydroxylation into metabolites with liver toxicity. Plasma protein binding: 25% Metabolism: 90%-95% in the liver, mainly with glucuronic acid, sulfuric acid, and cysteine. T₁/₂: generally 1-4 h, average 2 h; unchanged in renal insufficiency, may be prolonged in some liver disease patients, the elderly, and newborns, and shortened in children. Renal excretion: mainly as glucuronic acid conjugate; about 3% excreted unchanged in urine within 24 h.
