1,3-α-Glucosidase 87A is derived from Bacillus circulans, classified as a glucan endo-1,3-α-glucosidase. Recombinant BcAgn87A is expressed and purified from Escherichia coli, belonging to the single-domain enzyme of Glycoside Hydrolase family 87 (GH87). It is used to study its tandem domain structure (N-terminal galactose-binding-like and C-terminal β-helix).
