Enzymes for Research, Diagnostic and Industrial Use

Biofilm degrading enzyme blend, a mixture of seven enzymes

Cat No.
CEBM-001
Description
Bacteria and fungi possess an extracellular matrix (ECM), which typically consists of secreted polymers such as extracellular polysaccharides (EPS), extracellular DNA (eDNA), peptides, and lipids. Our enzyme mixture product consists of seven enzymes capable of degrading various components of the ECM, such as EPS and lipids. These enzymes have previously been used to inhibit or remove biofilms.
Applications
This product is used for the enzymatic hydrolysis of extracellular biofilm matrices.
Product Overview
A mixture of seven enzymes capable of degrading various components of the extracellular matrix, such as extracellular polysaccharides and lipids.
In metagenomics protocols, it gently removes extracellular polysaccharides (EPS) and lipids from the extracellular matrix.
It facilitates better access to bacterial cells and environmental DNA within biofilms.
Form
Solid
Storage
-10 to -25°C
Synonyms
Biofilm degrading enzyme mix, Extracellular matrix degrading enzymatic mixture
