Description

Carnosine has been shown to scavenge reactive oxygen radicals (ROS) and α-β unsaturated aldehydes formed by over-oxidation of fatty acids in cell membranes during oxidative stress. It is also an effective anti-glycosylation ingredient that reduces the formation of glycosylation end products (AGES), prevents cross-linking of macromolecules such as collagen, and promotes collagen synthesis.
