Casein Phosphopeptide

Cat No.
EXTZ-679
Description
Casein phosphopeptides (CPP) are bioactive peptides obtained from bovine milk casein through biotechnological methods and can be used in various nutritional and health foods. CPPs can combine with divalent metal ions (such as Ca²⁺, Fe²⁺, Zn²⁺, etc.) through phosphoserine residues to form soluble complexes, preventing their precipitation in the alkaline environment of the intestine and promoting absorption. This is particularly significant for calcium absorption, which may be achieved by delaying intestinal calcium precipitation or through indirect interactions with intestinal cells.
