Ceramide 3B

Cat No.
EXTZ-661
Description
Ceramide 3B is an important member of the Ceramide 3 family. Its molecular structure is formed by the acylation of phytosphingosine backbone with oleic acid. Since oleic acid is a monounsaturated fatty acid, Ceramide 3B has better emulsifying properties and solubility compared to Ceramide 3 (composed of saturated stearic acid), while maintaining comparable stability.
As a key component of the intercellular lipids in the epidermal stratum corneum of the skin, Ceramide 3B focuses its core functions on barrier construction and repair. It can promote the renewal of the skin's natural protective layer, form a dense lipid barrier on the stratum corneum surface, effectively reduce transepidermal water loss, and resist external environmental stimuli at the same time.
