Description

Applications

Suitable for initial tanning and retanning of various leather types, especially medium- to high-grade garment leather and soft leather.

Product Overview

The product is readily soluble in water and combines the characteristics of chrome tanning with the fine-grain effect of aluminum tanning and the tight-grain and filling effects of zirconium tanning. It produces light-colored, full leather and can reduce chromium in spent liquor by more than two-thirds compared with pure chrome tanning.

Cr6+ content: ≤2.0 mg/kg.
Total oxides: ≥25%.

Usage

Main chrome tanning: typically 6-8% based on pelt weight. Retanning: typically 3-5% based on shaved wet-blue weight.
