CIP Alkaline Cleaning Agent (Food Grade)

Cat No.
CACG-0001
Description
CIP Alkaline Cleaning Agent (Food Grade) is a concentrated, low-foaming liquid alkaline detergent designed for circulation cleaning of food and beverage processing equipment. It helps remove fats, proteins, carbohydrate residues, and other organic soils while supporting automated clean-in-place operation.
Applications
Clean-in-place cleaning of compatible tanks, pipelines, heat exchangers, pasteurizers, fillers, kettles, fryers, cookers, dairy processing circuits, brewery equipment, beverage lines, and other closed food-processing systems.
Appearance
Clear, pale yellow liquid
Product Overview
This strongly alkaline liquid cleaner is formulated for low-foam performance under turbulent circulation. It is suitable for automatic dosing and conductivity-based concentration control in food and beverage CIP programs. After cleaning, the solution must be completely removed from all food-contact surfaces by a thorough potable-water rinse.
Form
Liquid
Storage
Store in the original tightly closed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Keep below 40 °C and protect from heat and incompatible materials. Follow the applicable safety data sheet for the selected formulation.
Warnings
Strongly alkaline concentrate; may be corrosive. Wear suitable protective gloves and eye or face protection. Avoid skin and eye contact. Do not mix with acids or other incompatible chemicals. Confirm compatibility with the CIP system and construction materials before use. Rinse all food-contact surfaces thoroughly with potable water before production resumes.
Function
Low-foaming alkaline circulation cleaning and removal of organic food soils, including fats, proteins, carbohydrates, and cooked-on residues.
Synonyms
Alkaline CIP detergent; Liquid caustic CIP cleaner; Alkaline circulation cleaner
Grade
Food Grade
Notes
For cleaning food-processing equipment and closed process systems only. It is not intended for direct addition to food. Operating conditions must be validated for the specific equipment, soil type, water quality, and construction materials.
Advantages
Low foaming under high-turbulence circulation
Effective removal of fats, proteins, carbohydrates, and other organic soils
Suitable for automatic dosing and conductivity control
Applicable to food and beverage CIP programs
Free-rinsing when followed by a thorough potable-water rinse
Usage
1. Pre-rinse the processing system with water to remove loose product residues.
2. Prepare a 0.5–5.0% w/w working solution, approximately 0.3–3.4% v/v, according to the soil load and equipment design.
3. Circulate at 55–80 °C under sufficient turbulent flow. Use a validated contact time for the specific system; representative alkaline CIP programs commonly use approximately 10–30 minutes.
4. Drain the cleaning solution and rinse all food-contact surfaces thoroughly with potable water until deter
