Product Overview

Fmoc-Cys(Trt)-OH carries base-labile Fmoc protection on the α-amino group and an acid-labile trityl group on the cysteine thiol. It is routinely used to introduce cysteine residues during Fmoc SPPS, and the trityl group is removed during final TFA cleavage to liberate the free thiol for disulfide bond formation.
