Product Overview

Fmoc-Asp(OtBu)-OH carries base-labile Fmoc protection on the α-amino group and an acid-labile tert-butyl ester on the β-carboxyl group of aspartic acid, leaving the α-carboxyl free for coupling. The tert-butyl group suppresses aspartimide formation and other side reactions and is removed during final TFA cleavage.
