Description

Fungal cell wall lytic enzyme (Lywallzyme) is a complex hydrolase fermented and purified from Tichoderma longibrachium. It is an excellent fungal cell wall lytic enzyme capable of efficiently breaking down fungal cell walls to yield high-yield, highly active protoplasts that retain excellent regenerative capacity. This enzyme is of superior quality, exhibits broad-spectrum and highly efficient activity, possesses stable enzymatic activity, and is relatively heat-resistant.

Applications

This product has an extremely wide scope of application and exhibits an excellent cell wall-lysing effect against most fungi, with the optimal efficacy toward Basidiomycetes and Ascomycetes. It is applicable to edible and medicinal fungi, including straw mushroom, oyster mushroom, shiitake mushroom, tremella, ganoderma lucidum and other varieties; important industrial and agricultural strains such as Penicillium chrysogenum, Aspergillus niger and yeast; as well as key strains for genetic research including Schizophyllum commune, Neurospora crassa and Aspergillus nidulans.

Store in a dry place at -20°C for up to 1 year. Store in a dry place at +4°C for up to 3 months.

Usage

In experiments involving the lysis of fungal cell walls, using an enzyme concentration of 10–20 mg/mL and incubating for 1–2 hours at 25–35°C yields ideal protoplasts.
