Product Overview

Halquinol is a controlled mixture of chlorohydroxyquinolines whose constituents act synergistically to enhance biological activity; its antimicrobial effect derives from the ability to chelate metal ions. The standard grade contains 5,7-dichloro-8-quinolinol (57-74%), 5-chloro-8-quinolinol (23-40%) and a maximum of 4% 7-chloro-8-quinolinol at 95-105% assay, and a 60% grade is also available.
