Description

Product Overview

The material dissolves as relatively small molecular species that enlarge progressively through hydrolysis and coordination during tanning and generate crosslinking. It strongly fixes chromium, has strong affinity for leather fibers, promotes chromium absorption from the bath, and can be used without external basifying agents.

Quality

Cr6+ content: ≤2.0 mg/kg.
pH (10% solution): 2.0-4.0.

Usage

Main chrome tanning: typically 6-8% based on pelt weight. Retanning: typically 3-5% based on shaved wet-blue weight.
