Description

A high-concentration modified glutaraldehyde retanning agent formulated to provide controlled reaction with leather and improve grain and handle during retanning.

Suitable for retanning pig, bovine, and sheepskin garment leather and for retanning white leather.

Product Overview

The modified formulation overcomes rapid and gradual volatilization characteristics of conventional glutaraldehyde, producing whiter and softer leather with improved color correction, perspiration resistance, and heat/wash resistance. In grain-facing retanning it helps soften the body, refine the grain, reduce regional differences, and improve elasticity and handle. It may be used before chrome tanning or after chrome tanning and can provide a fatliquoring-fixation effect during retanning.
