Description

Industrial potassium dichromate is an orange-red crystalline inorganic oxidizing material supplied as triclinic plate-like crystals. The material is non-hygroscopic, dissolves in water, and is insoluble in ethanol.

Applications

Used in the manufacture of chromium dioxide, chrome-yellow anticorrosive pigments, chrome green, matches, electroplating, and as an oxidizing agent. It is also used in glass, ceramics, mordant-dyeing applications, and chemical-reagent preparation.
