Enzymes for Research, Diagnostic and Industrial Use

Laccase, food grade

Cat No.
EXTZ-174
Description
This product is produced through deep liquid fermentation of the Aspergillus oryzae strain, followed by advanced extraction processes, ultrafiltration, and concentration to obtain a purified product. Laccase is a copper-containing protease composed of three parts: a peptide chain, a glycosyl moiety, and Cu²⁺ ions. The copper ions are located at the active site of the enzyme, where they can transfer electrons in a coordinated manner during the oxidation reaction and reduce oxygen to water.
Laccase can catalyze the oxidation of a wide range of substrates, including phenols and their derivatives, arylamines and their derivatives, carboxylic acids and their derivatives, steroid hormones, biological pigments, metal-organic compounds, and non-phenolic compounds. The higher the redox potential of the laccase, the broader the range of substrates that can be degraded.
