Cat No.
CEGZ-6982
Description
Nα-Boc-3-(benzylamino)-L-alanine is a diaminopropionic acid derivative in which the α-amino group carries a Boc group and the β-amino side chain bears a benzyl substituent. The carboxyl group is free for coupling.
Applications
Used as a building block in peptide synthesis and medicinal chemistry for the preparation of diaminopropionic acid-containing peptides and side-chain modified analogues.
Product Overview
N-Alkylated diaminopropionic acid building blocks are used to introduce basic, secondary-amine side chains into peptides and peptidomimetics, and the benzyl group can be removed by hydrogenolysis to reveal the free side-chain amine.
