Description

Nα-Boc-Nε-ivDde-L-lysine is an orthogonally protected lysine derivative in which the α-amino group carries a Boc group and the ε-amino side chain is masked by the ivDde group. The ivDde protection is removed by treatment with dilute hydrazine under conditions that leave Boc and other acid-labile groups intact.

Applications

Used in solid-phase peptide synthesis for site-selective lysine side-chain modification, including the preparation of branched, labeled, and conjugated peptides.
