Nα-Fmoc-7-aza-L-tryptophan

Cat No.
CEGZ-50027
Description
Nα-Fmoc-7-aza-L-tryptophan is the Fmoc-protected form of 7-azatryptophan, a tryptophan analogue in which the carbon at the 7-position of the indole ring is replaced by a nitrogen atom. It is used as a building block in Fmoc solid-phase peptide synthesis.
Applications
Used in solid-phase peptide synthesis for the preparation of fluorescent peptide probes and tryptophan-analogue-containing peptides in biochemical and biophysical research.
Product Overview
Azatryptophan analogues are valuable spectroscopic and biophysical probes because the aza substitution alters the fluorescence properties and hydrogen-bonding pattern of the indole system, enabling studies of protein structure and peptide-protein interactions.
