Product Overview

Fmoc-Lys(Dde)-OH carries base-labile Fmoc protection on the α-amino group and the Dde [1-(4,4-dimethyl-2,6-dioxocyclohexylidene)ethyl] group on the ε-amino group. Dde is stable to both piperidine and TFA and is removed with hydrazine, providing an orthogonal handle for site-selective side-chain modification, branching, cyclization and labeling.
