Description

Nα-Fmoc-Nε-MTT-L-lysine is an orthogonally protected lysine derivative for Fmoc solid-phase peptide synthesis. The 4-methyltrityl (MTT) group protects the ε-amino side chain and can be removed under very mild acidic conditions that leave Boc and tert-butyl protections intact.

Applications

Used in solid-phase peptide synthesis for site-selective side-chain modification of lysine residues, including the preparation of branched peptides, peptide conjugates, and lipidated peptides.
