Cat No.
CEGZ-6968
Description
N-Boc-2-chloroethylamine is a protected aminoalkyl chloride in which the primary amino group is masked by a Boc group and the terminal chlorine serves as a leaving group for nucleophilic substitution reactions.
Applications
Used as an alkylating building block and intermediate in organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry for the preparation of aminoethylated compounds and pharmaceutical intermediates.
Product Overview
This bifunctional intermediate is used to introduce Boc-protected aminoethyl groups onto nucleophilic centers, and the Boc protection is readily removed under acidic conditions to reveal the free amine.
