Description

Geranyl diphosphate cannot be replaced by isopentenyl diphosphate, dimethylallyl diphosphate, farnesyl diphosphate or geranylgeranyl diphosphate as substrate. Requires Mg2+ or Mn2+ for activity. Unlike many other monoterpene synthases, only a single product, (3R)-linalool, is formed.
