Description

Sodium hydroxymethanesulfinate dihydrate is a white crystalline powder, easily soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohols. Its aqueous solution is weakly alkaline and keeps stable at room temperature, while it tends to decompose under high temperature or acidic conditions with reducing substances released. It features strong reducibility, excellent bleaching, decolorizing and bacteriostatic properties. Widely applied in chemical synthesis, textile printing and dyeing, industrial bleaching and organic reduction reactions. It serves as a high-efficiency reducing agent, bleaching and decolorizing agent, chelating agent and synthetic intermediate, suitable for dye reduction, fabric bleaching, industrial raw material decolorization and fine chemical synthesis.
