Enzymes for Research, Diagnostic and Industrial Use

triphosphate-protein phosphotransferase

Cat No.
EXWM-3353
Description
This enzyme was originally thought to use diphosphate as substrate but this has since been disproved. The activity is observed as the second part of a biphasic reaction after depletion of ATP. Tripolyphosphate is a contaminant of [γ-32P]ATP.
Form
Liquid or lyophilized powder
Enzyme Commission Number
CAS_No
74092-32-3
Storage
Store it at +4 ºC for short term. For long term storage, store it at -20 ºC~-80 ºC.
Synonyms
diphosphate:microsomal-membrane-protein O-phosphotransferase (erroneous); DiPPT (erroneous); pyrophosphate:protein phosphotransferase (erroneous); diphosphate-protein phosphotransferase (erroneous);diphosphate:[microsomal-membrane-protein] O-phosphotransferase (erroneous)
Reaction
triphosphate + [microsomal-membrane protein] = diphosphate + phospho-[microsomal-membrane protein]
