Z-Glu(OtBu)-Gly-OEt is a preformed glutamyl-glycine dipeptide carrying benzyloxycarbonyl (Z) protection on the N-terminus, a tert-butyl ester on the glutamic acid side-chain carboxyl, and an ethyl ester on the C-terminus. The orthogonal protection pattern allows selective deprotection at each position during multistep peptide assembly.
