Substrates

Creative Enzymes is a leading company in the enzyme industry. We provide a variety of enzyme substrates for both production and research. In biochemistry, substrates are molecules targeted by enzymes. They participate in enzyme catalyzed reactions and are converted or broken down to other biologically active molecules. The substrates bind to the activity site of the enzyme and then form the enzyme-substrate complex. After transformed to the products, substrates are released from the enzymes. Thus, the substrates have an indispensable part in the enzymatic reaction.

Creative Enzymes offers substrates in high purity and variable volumes to meet all your needs. The substrates here cover most areas in industrial production and exploratory experiments. Our main substrate products include:

  • Small molecule substrates
Small molecule compounds contain a large number of enzyme substrates. They are involved in reactions such as dehydrogenation, decarboxylation, transamination, and isomerization. Our chemical substrates fuel many biochemical reactions. We offer not only commonly used substrates such as esterase substrates, HRP (horseradish peroxidase substrates), phosphatase substrates, and sulfatase substrates, but also some unique substrates. The diversity is presented to meet all your demands.
  • Peptide & protein substrates
The proteases (also called a peptidase or proteinase) arethe enzymes exist in animals, plants, fungi, bacteria, archaea, and viruses. They target proteins and peptides and catalyze proteolysis reactions. As building blocks of peptides, amino acids are linked by peptide bonds to form the primer structure of a protein or peptide. Hydrogen bonds and other interactions such as disulfide bonds help to form more advanced structures of an active protein. The proteases catalyze the hydrolysis of the peptide bond, decompose the protein to polypeptide chains. We offer both native protein and synthetic polypeptide substrates in excellent quality for precise experimental results.
  • Saccharide substrates
Saccharides, also known as sugars or carbohydrates, are common substrates for the biochemical industry. We offer polysaccharides, oligosaccharides, and monosaccharide for various purposes. For example, soluble starch, amylopectin, and amylose substratesare suitable for amylasetests, and many monosaccharides and disaccharides fit perfectly for tests with isomerases.
  • Chromogenic & Fluorogenic substrates
These substrates generate visible or fluorescent light in the presence of suitable enzymes. They are widely used in ELISA and other activity assays at low enzyme concentrations due to low detection limits. For example, p-nitrophenyl phosphate (pNPP) is a common chromogenic substrate specifically for phosphatases, and fluorescein diphosphate (FDP) is a particular substrate for alkaline phosphatase. Our chromogenic and fluorogenic substrates are suitable to various research activities that require accurate results.

Creative Enzymes is specialized in the enzyme industry. We are proud to provide all types of products and services that are related to enzymes, especially enzyme substrates. Creative Enzymes guarantees high purity of the enzymes substrate products, which are manufactured with quality assurances and certified by HPLC or other fine analysis methods. In addition, we also supply substrates in different purity grades and specifications to meet various demands. These substrates can be used in many aspects of the enzyme activity measurement or production practices.
