Enzymes for Research, Diagnostic and Industrial Use

Keratanase II from Bacillus circulans, Recombinant

Cat No.
NATE-1618
Description
Keratansae II hydrolyzes 1, 3-beta-glucosaminidic linkages to galactose in keratan sulfate. On cleavage, the enzyme requires the sulfate at 6-0 position of the participating glucosamine, but acts independently of the sulfate at 6-0 position of the galactose linked to the glucosamine.
Abbr
Keratanase II, Recombinant (Bacillus circulans)
Source
E. coli
Species
Bacillus circulans
Applications
Used in the screening and diagnosis of Morquio A syndrome (MPS IVA). Validation of an LC-MS/MS assay for detecting relevant disaccharides from keratan sulfate as a biomarker for Morquio A syndrome.
Form
Powder
Purity
>90%
Storage
Reconstituted protein can be stored at 4°C or in small aliquots at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitution
