Detection of Cyanide Ions (CN-) with Nanozymes

  • Cyanide ions (CN-) are an extremely lethal poison to the human body. Many electrochemical and optical methods have been developed for CN- detection.
  • By using colorimetric and fluorescence methods of organic dyes and nanozymes, Creative Enzymes establishes a technology platform for the detection of CN-, which has the advantages of high selectivity, sensitivity and simplicity.

  • The well-dispersed amorphous cobalt hydroxide / oxide modified graphene oxide (CoOXH-GO), with peroxide-like catalytic activity, can be used for the detection of CN-.

  • It has recently been reported that the oxidase-like activity of CeO2 nanozymes can be significantly enhanced in the presence of fluoride. Therefore, Creative Enzymes utilizes the enzyme mimicking activity of nanozymes to develop biosensors for the detection of fluoride ions.

Detection of Sulfion Anion (S2-) with Nanozymes

  • Sulfide anion (S2-) is a common toxic anion. The traditional determination method has high sensitivity, but requires high equipment, reagents as well as the complicated operation.
  • Colorimetric methods based on nanozymes are widely used because of their simplicity, visualization, no need for complex equipment, and high detection speed. We establish a colorimetric method for S2- detection based on Au@MNO2 nanozymes with peroxidase properties.

Detection of Pyrophosphate (PPi) with Nanozymes

  • Pyrophosphate (PPi) is one of the most difficult phosphorus sources in industrial wastewater. Because of the coordination ability between pyrophosphate and metal ions, new methods for pyrophosphate detection can be developed.
  • We develop a novel colorimetric method for the detection of pyrophosphate, using Lumino-gallium nano assemblies with peroxide-like activity, which is highly sensitive.
